Eyebrow transplant surgery is a specialty medical hair restoration procedure. The Puig Hair Restoration Center is a leader in this type of transplant surgery.  Eyebrow restoration is a permanent solution to hair loss due to over-plucking, aging, medical treatments such as chemotherapy, injuries and genetic conditions. We are innovators with decades of experience in restoring and thickening eyebrow hair permanently.  Since 2010 eyebrow restoration surgeries have been on the rise experiencing significant increases.

Boost Self-Esteem

Eyebrows frame your face because they are centrally located.  When they become thin or spotty it can alter your appearance, which can be embarrassing and a blow to your self-esteem.  Sure, you can always pencil them in, but there’s nothing like the appearance of natural thick brows.  And we can help you achieve the look you desire.  An eyebrow transplant can also hide unsightly scars and accentuate your features.

The Consultation

The surgery is an out-patient procedure and only takes a few hours.  It’s important to make sure you are a suitable candidate for the surgery.  Our goal is not only to restore the hair in this area but also to discover why it is not growing.  Many of the requests to restore the eyebrows are due to over-plucking, waxing and grooming, which can damage the hair follicle permanently.  Keep in mind that there are only a handful of surgeons who are experienced in performing an eyebrow transplant.  Making your brows beautiful and lush again is an art form. And we have decades of experience restoring hair on sensitive areas of the face.

The Process

Fine hair taken from the scalp or other area and is extracted individually for the grafting process.  These tiny hairs are then transplanted via a micro surgical procedure. We not only transplant new hairs but also the hair follicle, which enables new hair to grow.  Hairs are grafted one or two at a time in order to give your brows a natural look.  This requires a well-trained hand since the hair is this area is very thin and has various directional changes.

A mild sedative is used to restore hair flawlessly into its proper place.  The area may be a bit pink after the grafting process for a few days.  In about 2-3 weeks the transplanted hairs fall out and are replaced by new growth.

What to Expect After the Surgery

The most common post-operative effect is itching.  However, scratching is not allowed because germs may be introduced into the area causing infection. Medication may be prescribed to help with the itching. The new hairs will need to be protected during the first few days after the procedure. So, they’ll need to be kept dry and allowed time to heal.  And we’ll also show you how to care for your new brows as they grow into position. Look beautiful again today.
